THE DARING WAY™

INTRODUCTION

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings.

During the process facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living.

The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

AREAS OF INTERVENTION

Here is some of the work that can be facilitated through Coaching by Mariana Corrêa da Silva using the Daring Way™ method

Quarter-life Crisis – This type of crisis refers to that period of our life between 20 and 30 years old. This is a time frequently marked by doubt on how life will unveil and which path to take. There are big decisions to be made that tend to define most of our adult life. If you are in your 20’s, and you find yourself frequently thinking ‘have I made the right choice?’; ‘where is all this going to take me?’; ‘Will I be able to reach my full potential? am I still on time?’, then it is possible that you are going through a quarter-life crisis, and you are not alone! This transitional phase between pre-adult and adult life can be a tremendous challenge, and it is possible that you feel high levels of stress and anxiety that end up getting in the way of reaching you full potential. By working it through in the Daring Way ™ method, you will be better equipped to surf one of your life’s biggest waves.

College and life transition – Coaching can change your life at Uni, specially if you are struggling with perfectionism, workload and too many social engagements. The Daring Way ™ will help you prioritize and give yourself permission to be good enough. It will also help you to be better at decision making and learn new skills that will increase your resilience to the challenges ahead.

Performance and life balance – we live in a time where being able to reach a balance between your professional and personal life is not easy. Many of us are constantly juggling our responsibilities at work, social commitments and the relationships that really matter to us. There is enormous pressure to be successful in our adult life, and through the Daring Way™ method you will find support to manage all the important areas of your life.

  • Coaching individual presencial – com 14 sessões (semanais ou quinzenais)
  • Coaching individual (via videoconferência) – com 14 sessões (semanais ou quinzenais)
  • Coaching Intensivo Individual (5 dias) – Os dias do programa DW™ em regime intensivo têm um intervalo de 1 semana e uma duração de 4h. A experiência mostra que uma semana de intervalo permite à pessoa que está a fazer este trabalho individualmente, ter o tempo necessário para reflectir sobre ele e solidificar a pratica das novas estratégias propostas

Individual Coaching – one to one coaching will allow you to work on your personal challenges and help you walk the path of personal and human development facilitated through the Daring Way ™

  • Individual (face to face) – includes 14 sessions (weekly or every-other week)
  • Individual (video session) – includes 14 sessions (weekly or every-other week)
  • Intensive (5 days) – The intensive is once a week (for 4 hours) throughout 5 weeks, this allows you to do the work in between the DW meetups in order to deepen your understanding and the practice of alternative strategies of thinking, behaving and relating in a way that restaures authenticity to your life.

WHO IS BRENÉ BROWN?

Brené Brown, Ph.D. LMSW. is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Brené Brown Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work.
She has spent the past fifteen years studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy and is the author of three #1 New York Times Bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, and Rising Strong.

Her groundbreaking research has been featured on PBS, NPR, CNN, The Katie Show, and Oprah Winfrey’s Super Soul Sunday.
